Workshop

Marionetarium owns more than six hundred puppets built by European masters of the past 70 years. The workshop is the technical core of the basic applications: maintenance, restoration and construction of puppets. The open workshop aims at dissemination and training. It cultivates and develops an artistic craft, promoting research, experimentation and creation.
A puppet theatre is a multifaceted activity that favours the development of creative gifts, be they related to literature, sculpture, modelling, drawing, painting, costume, drama, scenery, music, lighting, sound, carpentry or other trades.
Restoration allows us to discover the puppet. We intervene on the basis of usefulness and conservation in order to achieve its incorporation to the show. It is a thorough research work that helps understand the different parts of the puppet and puts us in contact with various techniques and their applications.
